About the event
Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town 2025 will run from 4–7 December in the town’s Market Place, offering a festive hub for families to enjoy crafts, entertainment and seasonal magic. The event, organised by Bishop Auckland Town Council together with Baccanalia and Bridge Creative, features both free attractions — like roaming performers, markets and illuminated installations — and ticketed experiences via wristbands.
Visitors can ice-skate, ride fairground attractions, visit Santa’s Grotto, and relax in heated “giant tipis” while enjoying live shows. Pass options include a Golden Pass (all-access) or Tipi & Tidings (for tipi entry and shows). With its blend of market stalls, nightlife, interactive fun and festive décor, Christmas Town 2025 promises to be a warm, community-oriented celebration marking the start of the season.
